Artist’s Statement
I am Finnish conceptual artist, textile artist and Master of Arts. In my previous work I have examined paradoxes of the consumer society. Lately I have used different kinds of plastic materials and textile techniques and I have also made experimental film. The focus of my art is on the human-made environment. I am interesting in the ecological aspects. For me art is a process which starts from experiences and ideas. It has the visible surface and the deeper abstract levels, thoughts. The marks create meanings.
